Q. How do we book?

A. A small deposit secures the booking and the remaining fee can be paid in the lead up or on the evening of the event.

Q. How do we pay the deposit?

A. This can either be paid in cash or by bank transfer.

-----------------------------------

Q. What are your performance times for an evening wedding reception?

A. Arrive at 6pm to access the venue when available. Set up and sound checked by 7:30pm with the first dance at 8pm. Take a break around 9:30pm for the buffet and back on at 10pm. 10 minute break at 11pm and the back on at 11.10pm for a midnight finish.
*These are typical times and we are happy to accommodate your needs for your big day.

-----------------------------------

Q. Do you provide background music for when you are not playing live?

A. Yes. We provide appropriate background music to welcome guests to your event and during breaks.

-----------------------------------

Q. Will you learn the first dance for our wedding?

A. Yes, we will learn your first dance and do our best to accommodate any other requests you may have. Letting us know a couple of months in advance of your wedding gives us ample time to rehearse and ensure the song is sounding just right.

Q. Do you play ceilidh music?

A. Yes, The Playlist offer lively ceilidh sets if you or your guests fancy a wee Gay Gordons, Canadian Barn Dance or the likes.

A. Yes, we offer a DJ service also. This comes as standard with 'The All Entertainment Package' and 'The Night Entertainment Package +'. For further details see the 'Packages' section.

Q. How far do you travel to perform?

A. We're based in Central Scotland, which gives us the good fortune of being able to travel reasonable distances for different events across the counrty. We've played everywhere from Inverness to Peebles, Ayrshire to Dunbar... and in between.

-----------------------------------

Q. Do you use your own equipment or do you arrange to use the equipment at the venue?

A. Yes, we use our very own equipment for all our performances. This includes top-of-the-range instruments and PA system. We are always looking to stay at the forefront by investing in the best equipment.
*Our equipment is PAT tested, which means it meets the safety standard for portable appliances.

-----------------------------------

Q. Do you provide stage lights?

A. Yes, we ensure we create the right mood on stage with our LED stage lights.

-----------------------------------

Q. I understand you do weddings and other events but do you play pub gigs?

A. Yes, although a large number of bookings are for private events and special occasions, we believe it is important to play at public venues when possible. You'll find our acts at a few favourite venues of ours regularly throughout the year and we are always happy to try to new places.

-----------------------------------

Q. I'm looking for a band for an event at really short notice. Do you have availability?

A. Although the entertainment acts we offer are normally booked up in advance throughout the year, we occasionally have availability at short notice. Don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate or at least point you in the direction of other acts that could do the job.

-----------------------------------

Q. Where can I see you play live?

A. The 'Live Dates' section lists future performances. You can also check out promo videos on each act's page and have a listen to recordings in the 'Set List' sections.
